Our challenge this week was to do a little people watching. Well…..I live in a very small town with the worst mall ever. I suppose I could capture some great pics at the Farm Bureau but I suspect I wouldn’t go unnoticed in the parking lot for long.
We took a little drive on Sunday and stopped at a brewery for lunch. I was disappointed with the few photos I was able to sneak. However, this one couple was so sweet, I wanted to include them no matter the quality. Initially I didn’t pay much attention to them, they looked like all the other couples there having a quiet lunch and some quiet conversation. When the waiter brought their drinks, they made a toast to one another, and clinked their glasses. That’s when I noticed the sparkle in their eyes and how their faces were more animated when they looked at one another. It’s the little things that make a long time marriage continue to be special and it was obvious to this observer that they still had “it”.
The gentleman was proudly wearing a shirt and hat that bore the U.S. Marines logo – a good man….
The following photos were taken when my nephew was visiting this summer – I love the sheer delight on his face when he’s playing with the puppies…..
I tried one in black and white…
but I had to go back to the pretty green grass…
A people watching day will be great fun when we visit San Diego next – this fall with any luck.
