August flew by in a flash … lots of activity on the home front, nothing on the blogs…ah well, real life won.
In my never ending, and typically failing efforts to be creative…I made a mini Zen “garden” for my desk….turns out when one wants perfect rake patterns the garden isn’t very Zenny…add to that the tiny dish and the fairy garden rake that’s apparently more of a troll size and one can spen some time getting thei gold dust sparkle sand just right. Then there’s the palcement on the desk that keep getting hit …it’s a Zen disaster.
Along the same note…who knew the cool looking charcoal/coconut scrub would look like this….after several attempts at rinsing. Lucky you …I only snapped my feet, I assure you, I was covered from neck to toe in black greasy sand. It would have been nice if it at least left my skin soft…but when you need a scrub with Dawn to remove it….the moisturizing is down the drain. And then came the fun of scrubbing the shower.
Now you see the reason for the next photo….and the hair…I have no clue.
On to the good stuff…the food in August was heavenly! Fresh veggies, thankfully grown or prepared by someone else…gardening is yet another of my limitations.
A little of us…Jim’s sunkissed color and my sunblock pale :-) winston being oh so brave when he heard a vacuum at the vet … no guard dogs at this house.
A visit with some of Jim’s family, and a wee bit of silliness.
Some snaps from our drive to Ohio…sunrise as we left Virginia, sunset that evening. A view in West Virginia and one of the bridges we crossed.
