I’ve been having a little fun today with my Easter tulips and some of our recent tutorials….I’ve framed. textured, quoted, and rad labbed…..
think Hubby will believe that I’m too tired to cook dinner?

Okay Kim, only for you……
I didn’t enjoy having my photo taken when I was three – a time when my mother swears I was adorable. Fifty-three years later, my attitude towards being the focus of the camera hasn’t improved. Maybe it’s because of the ever deepening laugh lines, and the expanding chins :-)
I just know that one of these weeks the challenge will be to photograph cheesecake ……
I found myself with a little free time – well, actually talking to someone about goldendoodles and playing with RadLab at the same time. I don’t multitask well, so……
BTW 0 this is the same make-up I wear every day – so not cheating :-) kinda… you won’t see me after the treadmill or after doggie duties.

Always with the unexpected, my Beyond Layers’ guru…..after reading the Weekend Texture post, I thought – ah….Kim is going to challenge me to clean my desk – easy peasy. Have I not learned anything in our Beyond Layers journey?
Of course our challenge today is so much more, and I’m grateful for the nudge……
Last year I happened upon a little bloggy party – 40 things in 40 days. I made my list of 40 tasks that needed to be accomplished, some little – some huge. The blog author suggested breaking down a big chore into stages – making it less daunting and more likely to be accomplished – this worked well for me. At the end of the 40 days, I was quite pleased with the accomplishments I’d made – but not ready to compile a new list. I think it’s time. I’m going to add a little list on the sidebar to keep track of my tasks as I check them off the list.
That’s it, I’m not sure that I’ll want to document everything with a photo – but I’d best get a move on if I want my first check mark – thank you Kim!!!

What a fun tutorial for this week – framing our photos. I played with each technique as I followed along with Kim’s video. In order, the basic frame with a drop shadow using a photo of Jim and our new granddog, Par…..
next is the feathered frame, my favorite look….
and finally…..hmm, I don’t remember what this one is called – it’s No. 1 son at sunset in San Diego in a fame :-)…..works for me!
I can’t wait to play again with frames, maybe after dog feeding, but definitely before laundry……
