You’ve done it again…. my initial reaction is no, this doesn’t apply to me and then ….. as I meander through my morning chores an itty bitty light bulb begins to glow. And before I know it, I’m thinking – ah that brilliant Kim!
For me the taking of the photos, the processing – is wonderful fun. However, for (most) of my Beyond Layers compadres, it’s their passion. If I don’t receive praise for my photos, it’s okay – I’m not seeking that – I’m having fun – I don’t need more than that.
Dogs are my passion, nothing pleases me more than the pure joy on someone’s face when they come to pick up their cute fluffy puppy. My “pats on the back” come from receiving a “birthday” photo and a note saying how much joy their puppy has given them. Because I do seek their approval, I’m always striving to find better ways to support the families in raising their doodles – I’m trying to create a better experience for them – it’s my art.
I used to fret over the number of followers or comments on a post on my personal blog – and came to the realization that if a stranger didn’t comment on a particular recipe or tablesetting – did it really change the value for me? Thankfully, no.
Does Ms. Klassen give me the opportunity to look at my life from a variety of perspectives – you bet! You are very appreciated.
